Our Mission

Sea turtles have survived 100 million years. Today, the four turtle species nesting on Aruba are threatened. The hawksbill turtle is even critically endangered. The threat to the continuance of the species comes from a scale of human activities.

The threat

Every species nesting here is endangered or threatened by habitat loss and human activity.

Our Efforts

We protect sea turtles by monitoring nests, train volunteers, educate communities.

Sea turtle season runs from March through December

Every year, female sea turtles return to Aruba's beaches to lay their eggs on the same beach where they were born decades ago. It's one of nature's most remarkable moments, and it happens right here on our island. Learn more about sea turtles, their habitat, and the threats they face.
